The official send-off to summer, Labor Day Weekend is here, and Mammoth Lakes is the perfect place to spend your final days soaking up all things summer. Here's what's happening in town over Labor Day Weekend.

Labor Day Activities

Cast a Line & Catch a Trophy Trout

Kick-off your Labor Day Weekend in Mammoth Lakes by getting out on the water and checking out one of our various fishing locations.

If you want to test the waters on fishing, Mono County Free Fishing Day also falls over Labor Day Weekend.

Hangout & Enjoy Live Music

Mammoth Rock N Rye pairs free live music with whiskey tasting in The Village at Mammoth. The event spans Friday to Sunday and brings in distilleries from Kentucky to Mammoth Lakes.

Be sure to check out various other bars and restaurants offering live music all throughout the weekend.

Enjoy the Air at 11,053 Feet

Mammoth Mountain's Scenic Gondola is a classic unreal Mammoth Lakes experience. Take the gondola to the top of Mammoth Mountain and soak up the views. Enjoy learning about local flora and fauna at the Interpretive Center, inside the Gondola building. For those who are up for a short walk, follow the trail along the top of the mountain to the southern portion of the Summit and look down into the Lakes Basin.

Hop on a Bike

Rent a bike or an e-bike and tour all around the various bike paths in Mammoth Lakes. Don't forget that the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park is still open too!

Explore the Reds Meadow Area

Reds Meadow is the perfect place for a full day of exploration. A variety of trailheads lead to the region's many iconic viewpoints and breathtaking landscapes. From easy hikes to Rainbow Falls, the wildflower-covered Agnew Meadows and Devils Postpile National Monument to more strenuous trails that wind through the John Muir Wilderness and Ansel Adams Wilderness areas past stunning alpine lakes and connect to parts of the Pacific Crest Trail, Reds Meadow offers something for hikers of all levels

Kick Back and Relax

August 31st is the Mammoth Lakes Health and Wellness Fair hosted by Outbound Mammoth Hotel. Find many ways to rejuvenate including a sound baths, a nature walk, massages, dancing and more. Find more event details on The Sierra Collective's website. Admission is FREE.
