One of California€™s oldest and largest mountain guiding companies, International Alpine Guides is the leading mountain guide service in the Golden State with bases in Mammoth Lakes, Lake Tahoe and Mount Shasta, providing mountain and ice climbing classes, rock climbing courses, backcountry skiing, avalanche courses and Yosemite hiking tours throughout the mountains of California.
The mountain professionals at International Alpine Guides are dedicated to providing you a safe and memorable mountain experience. Owner/Director Dave Miller has a tight-knit team of mountain guides that are chosen based on their outgoing and friendly nature, their formal guide training, and their dedication to the profession of mountain guiding. All guides are trained in wilderness emergency medical protocols, as well as naturalist and Leave No Trace training, as backpacking and hiking guides. Outfits clients with all necessary climbing gear, excluding ski boots and skis, as needed for a safe and fun climb!
