Special Event Funding

Mammoth Lakes Tourism provides funding to special event producers in an effort to support the growth of this area of our economy. Events must be held within Mammoth Lakes, with special consideration for events happening during shoulder seasons and need periods. Since 2019, Mammoth Lakes Tourism has annually awarded up to $300,000 in special event funding to event producers, with $350,000 allocated for events in 2025.

2025 Award Allocations

We are pleased to announce the 2025 Special Events funding award allocations detailed below. All applications were thoroughly and thoughtfully considered by the Special Event Committee through a fair and equitable process informed by the Special Event Funding Guidelines emphasizing Community Vitality, Economic Health, and Environmental Stewardship.

These funds are provided by Mammoth Lakes Tourism to special event producers who meet stringent criteria and are intended to support the growth of visitation to our area, particularly during shoulder seasons and need periods. Events must take place in Mammoth Lakes to be eligible for funding. $350,000 was available for award in 2025, a $65,500 increase from the funds disbursed to Special Events in 2024.

Most events saw an increase in funding from 2024, including six new special events applicants who received funding for the first time.
