Summer Transit

The Mammoth Transit summer system operates from May 13 through November 7, 2024 and offers a convenient, fun and friendly alternative to getting around Mammoth Lakes.

Passengers ride for free on all fixed routes in town. The Dial-A-Ride service requires a fare and is available to all riders, with priority given to special needs passengers.

Town Trolley Service

Get across town with stops at Stop #1, Minaret Village Shopping Center, The Village, Canyon Lodge and Juniper Springs Resort every 20 minutes. The open-air Lakes Basin Trolley leaves The Village for the Mammoth Lakes Basin every 30 minutes, stopping at most of the lakes in the Mammoth Lakes Basin and providing access to area hiking trails. Also tows a bike trailer for access to biking.

Visit iconic Devils Postpile or Reds Meadow using the mandated Reds Meadow
Shuttle.

Service will end Sunday, September 15,2024.

***Due to road construction this summer, the road to Agnew Meadow, Reds Meadow and Devils Postpile is completely closed Monday through Thursday. The Reds Meadow Shuttle will operate Friday through Sunday. More detail about services provided by the National Park Service at Devils Postpile National Monument can be found at Inyo National Forest – Alerts & Closures (usda.gov)

Route: Mammoth Adventure Center - Reds Meadow

Fare: $15 ADULT; $7 CHILD; INFANTS UNDER 2 FREE. Tickets can be purchased at Mammoth Adventure Center or from drivers with exact change.

Mammoth Bike Park & Adventure Center Shuttle Service

Access the Mammoth Bike Park and Adventure Center from The Village with
daily service. The last bus leaving the Adventure Center (located near Mammoth Mountain's Main Lodge) to The Village departs at 5:10 pm.
